Who We are and What We Do
Thank you for visiting LonelyPlate.org.  LonelyPlate provides a platform for food allergic individuals and families to share information on the businesses they have visited, where you can highlight the businesses’ understanding or lack thereof of food allergic individuals’ special needs.

LonelyPlate.org publicly presents and stores your reviews and comments about businesses that serve food in order help food allergic individuals make informed choices about businesses they visit. Your reviews, comments, photos and star ratings that we make public are presented online together with the screen name you submitted.

By visiting LonelyPlate.org, you agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions and this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these terms, please to not use this site. For more information on the purpose of this site, click above on “About.”

Your Information
LonelyPlate.org collects no personal information about you except when knowingly provided by you. You must register with your email address to post comments on this site. This email address is stored on our server and may in the future be used to send you information that might be of interest to you. If you choose include personal information in your reviews, comments or photos, third parties may be able to identify you or infer that a review or comment was written by you, which may lead them to contact you. Please do not include information in your reviews, comments or photos that you expect to remain private.

We may retain data connected with your use of our site, such as searches, page views, and other type of IP and URL information. These data are used to enhance and upgrade the site based on user interest. We also analyze individual and bulk visits to our site to ascertain which parts of the site are of most interest to the food allergic community. 

Invite Friends
If you send or receive a personal message using our “Invite Friends” email feature, LonelyPlate.org and its parent company have no control over whether the content of any email you sent is posted publicly by the recipient. The content of these emails is private only if the sender and recipient keep them private. If you choose to use the “Invite Friends” feature to invite another person to visit our website, you are choosing to provide us that person’s email address which we use to contact that person with your invitation. When you provide us with another person’s email address, you represent to us that you have obtained the other person’s consent regarding your disclosing to us their personal data.

We do not currently share any email addresses or personal information that you have provided but may in the future share this information, for example, with researchers studying food allergies or allergic disease, businesses aiming to accommodate customers with food allergies, advocates of the food allergic community or other third parties. We may disclose information to third parties about user behavior in connection with actual or prospective business relationships with those third parties.
