We have flown on multiple airlines and Southwest was the most knowledable and friendly about our needs. We pre-boarded to wipe down seats, and they did not serve nuts on the flight. When a passenger complained about not having peanuts the flight attendant handled it beautifully!

Southwest was wonderful with my son’s peanut allergy. They had us be the first to board so we could wipe down his seat and they made sure to provide pretzels for the flightt snack! WONDERFUL!!!!!

I have flown on Southwest a couple of times now and they are wonderful! They have so much patience with my son’s peanut allergy. It was like a breath of freshair, after traveling on other airlines. I HIGHLY recommend them!

I agree Southwest is great about how they handle food allergies!

We’ve flown Southwest many times with no problems. I always alert the front gate about my child’s allergies. We are given 2 tags that we present to the first flight attendant we see on board. The second tag is given to the flight attendants in the rear.

We are permitted to pre-board so we can check and wipe down the seating area. Each time they’ve made an announcement at the beginning of the flight alerting all passengers that there is a peanut allergy on-board. They serve pretzels as the snack on the flight, but are careful to warn us that they have no control over what foods passengers choose to carry aboard.

We had a bad experience with Southwest flying back from Orlando to Manchester. The flight down was great and the first flight of the morning. The flight back was late in the afternoon and when we checked in, they were upset that we were flying in the middle of the day, we should only be flying the first flight of the day and now they would have to call the plan enroute to warn them and this may delay the plane leaving. The desk attendant berated us in front of a long line of people. I’m sure he could have explained it nicely but didn’t.

I agree with others, SW is the only airline I will fly with my son.

Sounds like it all depends on the compassion of the individuals you are dealing with! I had a similar incident with American! You just have to hope and pray you are blessed with someone who has children and sympathizes with your situation!
